In this illustration we will going to wire as stand alone the ESP8266 Version 7 or ESP8266 7 with on-board C113 Micro RF Connector. Compared to ESP8266 01, the ESP8266 7 has extended GPIO and excellent wireless communication capability. as you can see the illustration below it uses a adjustable SMD regulator to supply 3.3v to power-up our ESP8266 -07 board.
